David Marishel

Training:

David completed a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours at the University of Western Sydney, and Masters of Psychology (Clinical) at the University of New South Wales. He has undertaken training in Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. He is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia to practice as a Clinical Psychologist, and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society College of Clinical Psychologists, The Australian Association for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and The Association for Contextual Behavioural Science.

Clinical Experience:

While completing his undergraduate studies in psychology, David worked for a disability services organisation and as a volunteer telephone counsellor at Lifeline in Sydney. His postgraduate training involved internship placements at Sacred Heart Bereavement Service, RNSH Pain Management and Research Centre, and the UNSW Psychology Clinic. Since completing his training he has worked at MS Australia, Prince of Wales Hospital, and is currently working in private practice and with people with obesity at Camden Hospital. David has experience assisting people with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, sleep problems, bereavement, chronic pain and other health-related concerns.
